The Lebanon Labor Market Observatory (LMO) is a national platform that delivers accessible, timely, and localized labor market information. It is a key component of the Haretna project — a multi-partner initiative supporting inclusive, community-led development in Lebanon.
Funded by AFD and DANIDA, the Haretna project is implemented by a consortium led by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in partnership with COSV, the Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club (TEC), and the Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering (RDFL).
Through TEC’s community engagement in Hayy Terab (Tripoli), Hayy Tamlis (Beirut), and Hayy Taamir (Saida), the LMO gathers and analyzes employment trends, skills gaps, and economic challenges in local labor markets. These insights help guide Haretna’s data-driven interventions in education, training, and livelihoods — aimed at improving opportunities for Lebanon’s most vulnerable communities.
